Danchos

A unique way of sharing

The Challenge

For more than four decades, the DannyYo family has been part of Guadalajara’s everyday landscape. Among all of its products, Danchos is perhaps the clearest expression of that relationship: a corn chip developed entirely in-house and recognized for its sun-shaped form. A touch of sesame adds a distinctive flavor with broad appeal, turning it into a snack that naturally finds its place in any occasion.

This duality became the starting point for the brand strategy. We conceived Danchos as a unique complement: a product universal in its ability to adapt to different moments, yet with enough personality to transform an everyday gathering into something memorable. The wordmark conveys this idea through a geometric and robust structure with broad, approachable proportions that project warmth while subtly referencing the original silhouette of the Dancho. From this shape emerges a character that embodies the host: a simple and charismatic figure that invites people to share and connect.

The color palette begins with the yellow of corn, a visual code deeply rooted in the collective imagination, and expands with tones that evoke the production process and the freshness of the offering. The typographic system incorporates a bold condensed typeface that introduces a sense of timeless sophistication, linking the brand to the heritage of a family business while maintaining accessibility. Based on the idea that the best gatherings aren't planned around food, but rather that food is what ends up bringing people together, Danchos becomes the perfect excuse to share: a companion that inspires new possibilities and turns every get-together into something exceptional.
