Voraz

A gastropub that blends traditional ingredients and techniques with a contemporary approach.

The Challenge

Housed in a former automotive workshop in Mexico City, Voraz is a gastropub that brings together traditional Mexican flavors and techniques with a contemporary approach. With an open kitchen that captures the energy of a workshop, Voraz reimagines classic recipes with a straightforward, deconstructed style, and serves them with authenticity. Our task was to create a visual identity that would reflect the space’s utilitarian character, embracing its drive for experimentation and innovation.

We designed a versatile, dynamic identity grounded in technical precision and attention to detail. Using a mix of typefaces and analog methods, we embraced a brutalist approach, drawing inspiration from workplace stationery and tickets to craft a specialized, industrial aesthetic. The result is a cohesive brand presence that spans both printed materials and online visuals. Our art direction carefully balanced the restaurant’s vibrant approach to texture and color in their dishes with the clean and refined aesthetic of the space itself, allowing the visuals to speak for themselves and giving the spotlight to the food.
